Preparing summer roses for a fall prune
While late summer may leave your rose bushes scraggly and tough to look at, resist cutting them back until the harshest temperatures of summer are past.

With cooler temps, your roses are thriving! Keep them healthy this winter with soil maintenance, compost, and adjusted watering. When harvesting, keep stems short to prevent frost damage, or let blooms form hips for winter wildlife.
